Gyeonggi Siheung Small Job Regional Self-Sufficiency Center recently hosted a special seminar titled “Successful Career Consulting for Middle-Aged Job Seekers.”
The seminar was led by Hwang Keumvit, CEO of Hwang Keumvit Education Consulting Co., Ltd., and attended by 23 participants currently engaged in work programs at the center.
This program was organized to support vulnerable community members in preparing for stable employment, self-reliance, and second-career opportunities. The session focused on providing practical guidance and motivation for participants seeking new career pathways.
Seminar Topics
The lecture covered a range of practical and relevant topics, including:
- Promising career fields for middle-aged job seekers
- How to identify suitable jobs based on interests and aptitude
- How to utilize government-supported employment and entrepreneurship programs
Participant Feedback
Participants responded positively to the seminar and shared that the session was both practical and encouraging.
Many noted that preparing for employment or starting a business alone can feel overwhelming, and that the lecture provided useful information and renewed confidence. Others emphasized that many valuable support programs often go unused simply because people are not aware of them, especially among older age groups who may feel less confident about re-entering the workforce.
